The La Jolla Historical Society welcomes back Michael Dorvillier as Chairman of the La Jolla Concours d’Elegance, one of the Society’s major fundraising events. A Registered Principal and Financial Advisor with Symbio Financial Partners and LPL Financial, Michael is a passionate antique car collector who is committed to the ongoing success of the La Jolla Concours d’Elegance. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Michael moved to New Hampshire in 1979. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1989 and relocated in Southern California to start his professional career. He lives in La Jolla and is the father of two wonderful children, Madeline and Blake.

Bob Kerner’s practice at Lockton as an insurance risk manager to ultra-high net worth families has span the past 17 years, covering any type of insurance need a family may have, anywhere in the world. Bob’s work includes family offices, luxury homes and estates, museum quality fine art and other collectibles, umbrella liability, yachts, private aircraft, life insurance, daily driver autos and of course collector automobiles.

Bob speaks on several panels relative to topics of insuring high net worth families and has spoken most recently at The Lido Consulting Family Office Investment Symposium and Deutsche Bank’s Conference on Best Practices for the high net worth. Bob is Lockton’s expert on collector car insurance and it’s his passion for the collector car hobby that began his involvement as a Board Member for the La Jolla Concours d’Elegance.

Bob’s work on the Board includes chairing the car sourcing team that engages automobile collectors to exhibit their superb automotive examples, at the La Jolla Concours D’Elegance. Bob has attended the Pebble Beach Car Week for the past 20 years. Recently, he was recruited to work as a Docent at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Over the years, he has attended a great number of other car shows and auctions such as the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, the Quail, The McCall Motorworks Revival, the Colorado Grand, the COPPERSTATE 1000 vintage car rally, the Copper State Roadrunner car show, numerous auctions such as RM Auctions, Bonham’s, Barrett Jackson, Gooding & Company and Mecum.

Bob received his degree from the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno. Bob is an avid sports fan and accomplished in his own right. He was inducted into his high school’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014 for his accomplishments in Basketball. He and his wife Laura have three children and a Labrador retriever. They both enjoy spending time at the beach and delighting in the company of great friends, barbecuing and drinking fabulous California wine.
